Courses for Machine Vision
Automation solutions with Machine Vision can be found everywhere. But how does one select the correct components? How can plant using Machine Vision be conceived? Which components are suitable for which applications? What are the pitfalls in the application of industrial Machine Vision? Question after question, to which no textbook can provide an answer.
The Vision Academy provides practical know-how for application, hands-on. It shows how industrial Machine Vision works and how it needs to be thought of.
The Vision Academy enables the user to control the futuristic technology of Machine Vision and to apply it to tasks in their own firms. The collaboration of high-powered partners and prominent Machine Vision firms in the industry with the Vision Academy guarantees training with components corresponding to the current state-of-the-art of the technology.
This is supported by a concentrated and targeted acquisition of knowledge, remote from day-to-day business, as well as by easy to understand, systematically treated and practically applicable accompanying material. Naturally, practical experimentation is also included in the courses. The use of a large number of examples shows how professional solutions can be rapidly found and development costs drastically lowered.
One aim of all the courses is it to provide user-oriented Machine Vision know-how and to minimize the dependency on the suppliers that users often experience. Different courses are offered, all faithfully following the slogan ‘from the practice, for the practice’, which are directly tailored to the respective technical level of the participants.

- Introduction to the technology -
Machine Vision – simply explained
From the practice, for the practice - the Vision Academy teaches the user the fundamental ideas behind the futuristic technology of Machine Vision. This course is for those who have little or no previous experience in industrial Machine Vision, but who would like to gain a first insight into the technology and components.

- Basic courses -
This type of course provides the tools for end users (who work with machines in which Machine Vision is built-in) to be able to understand and deal with Machine Vision solutions that have already been installed.
It shows how small errors can be recognised and corrected and how plant using Machine Vision solutions should be looked after. In addition, further possibilities relating to real applications are introduced.

- Continuation courses -
These provide the systematic and practically applicable know-how essential for being able to confidently select and configure Machine Vision components. Whether new solutions are to be developed, existing solutions optimised or new applications developed, these continuation courses provide a sound basis for professionally working with Machine Vision components. Course members acquire the ability to independently solve Machine Vision tasks and to be able to develop and apply new, original ideas for themselves.

- Advanced courses -
Advanced courses elaborate on the topics covered in the continuation courses and deal with them at a higher level.
In addition, selected individual topics in Machine Vision are concentrated on and gone into in much more detail. The courses are designed for those with some previous experience of Machine Vision, so their individual knowledge and abilities can be built on and extended here by use of intensive practical work. The dates for the advanced courses are decided on individually and carried out in small groups.

- Installation courses -
Many companies have to use industrial Machine Vision. However, for cost reasons or because they are ambitious, many users want to solve the problem or integrate the technology themselves. Unfortunately, they are not always aware of just how much is involved in this process. In order not to leave the user stranded with the solution, appropriate installation training courses have been established. These training courses are offered individually, tailored to the customer and are not run in groups.
The approach to the solution is divided into two sections of training:
Day 1:
A crash course in the topics of optics, lighting and systems is provided, giving a brief introduction without any extensive theoretical training. After this, the important central points are gone through using a checklist and the solution algorithms, using standardised commands, are introduced.
Day 2:
Here a in-house-demonstration becomes offered at the concrete object (customer-related) and gone into the concrete conditions on the spot. The user is enabled to solve his task independently.

- In-house training -
Discretion when dealing with sensitive technological know-how as well as a particularly effective transfer of knowledge into the company are achieved by in-house training courses. The course content can be customised to the user and the intensive training can then be targeted to specific applications. It is also possible to integrate this in-house training into the regular internal company training structure.
